Dr. Glynis Longhurst

ABOUT ME
I am the founder of Meridian Biokinetics. My work focuses on supporting the body’s natural capacity for restoration through gentle complementary therapies that promote relaxation, reduce tension, and support nervous system balance. Drawing on a holistic understanding of the body, I work with clients to encourage physical comfort, improved wellbeing, and greater resilience. My approach is calm, supportive, and centred on helping individuals restore balance and function in everyday life.
With over 35 years of experience, I combine evidence-based movement training with acupressure and tuning fork therapy to help clients improve function, reduce tension, and restore balance.

What to Expect
Restorative Therapy combines acupressure and therapeutic tuning forks to support nervous system regulation, reduce muscular tension, and restore ease of movement.
Each session begins with a brief conversation about your health history, current stress load, sleep, and movement concerns. This ensures the approach is tailored, safe, and aligned with your goals.
During your session, gentle acupressure is applied to specific points on the body to encourage relaxation and improve circulation. Precision-calibrated tuning forks may be used on or near the body to introduce subtle vibration that supports tissue release and parasympathetic activation. You remain fully clothed and comfortable throughout.

What People Are Saying
Malia
I had the privilege of having a one-on-one session with Glynis yesterday. Her intuition is spot on and her hands radiate with healing energy. The healing was gentle and extremely calming.
During the entire session, I felt pampered, relaxed, nurtured, and very taken care of.
If you need to re-align and reset, this is your lady right here.
I have known Glynis for over 10 years and in all this time she has been a consistent, reliable professional in the field of Sport, Exercise Science, and Child Development. She has a wealth of experience in the above fields and has truly dedicated a large portion of her life to this.
Glynis has a passion for this industry that is contagious and I don't think I have met anyone that has invested themselves more into this area of expertise than she has. Over the years she has always been a great source of advice and mentorship.
